Search engine optimisation is a strange profession. It's a blend of art and science that has elements of the highly boring combined with the eternally fascinating.
I know that sounds a bit woo woo that's just the truth. And as I've discovered over the years, it's something I'm good at.
And "they" always say, do what you love most or are good at.
I started in SEO way back in the mid 1980's although it wasn't really known as SEO then. It was just website development where you tried to make things sound and work logically.
With the advent of the search engine, SEO became a whole new ballgame.
By then however, I was more involved in marketing (both online and off) than anything else and it wasn't until about 5 years ago, that I took on the task of fixing up my partner's website that the SEO bug was re-kindled in me.
And I haven't been able to stop it.
Now, I find nothing more satisfying than taking an existing business website and making it "work properly" both in the search engines and for the business itself.
I combine my technical skills with my marketing skills to bring a more rounded business view to the table.
It seems to be working OK so far...
"Aaron is a master at what he does. It was reassuring to work with someone who clearly takes such pleasure in helping a business grow and thrive in the online world. I'm more than delighted with how he transformed my website and online presence. I am now so much more visible and attractive to prospective clients. Thanks Aaron!"
